Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of VALA Services, including the VALA web application, browser features, Talk voice service, API, and enterprise workspaces. This AUP is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
VALA is designed to be a helpful, safe, and honest AI assistant. Misuse of VALA undermines its value for everyone. Violations of this policy may result in account suspension, termination, or referral to law enforcement.
Prohibited Content
You may not use VALA to generate, distribute, or facilitate:
Prohibited Activities
You may not use VALA Services to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
- Infringe upon intellectual property rights of any third party
- Impersonate any person, organization, or AI system
- Collect or harvest personal data of other users without consent
- Engage in unauthorized data scraping or bulk extraction
- Attempt to reverse-engineer VALA AI models or extract weights
- Circumvent rate limits, usage caps, safety filters, or access controls
- Sell, resell, or sublicense access to VALA Services without authorization
- Use VALA to train competing AI models without explicit written permission
- Generate spam or unsolicited communications at scale
- Engage in market manipulation or financial fraud
- Facilitate unauthorized access to third-party systems
AI-Specific Misuse
The following AI-specific activities are strictly prohibited:
- Attempting to "jailbreak" or manipulate VALA into violating its safety guidelines
- Using prompt injection to override system instructions
- Systematically probing for safety vulnerabilities without authorization
- Generating synthetic media designed to deceive (deepfakes for harmful purposes)
- Using VALA to automate influence operations or coordinated inauthentic behavior
- Generating content designed to facilitate real-world harm to identifiable individuals
Note on AI limitations: VALA AI may occasionally generate content that appears to violate these guidelines. If you encounter such content, please report it. Accidental generation without malicious intent is treated differently from deliberate misuse.
Voice & Talk Misuse
When using VALA's Talk (voice) feature, you may not:
- Record or capture voice interactions without consent where legally required
- Use Talk in contexts where voice processing is legally prohibited
- Attempt to use Talk to process third-party conversations without consent
- Use Talk features to harass, stalk, or surveil individuals
- Use voice features to generate or transmit prohibited content
API and Enterprise Misuse
API and enterprise users have additional obligations:
- API keys must not be shared, published, or embedded in client-side code
- You are responsible for ensuring your end users comply with this AUP
- You may not use the API to build products that violate this AUP
- Automated or high-volume requests must comply with rate limits and fair use policies
- Enterprise workspace administrators are responsible for user compliance within their workspace
Enforcement
Eleva Platform Ltd reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Enforcement actions may include:
- Warning or notice to the user
- Temporary suspension of account or API access
- Permanent account termination
- Removal of content or outputs
- Reporting to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities
- Legal action where warranted
We may act on violations without prior notice where necessary to protect users, systems, or third parties.
